Di Indonesia sangat minim pengetahuan orang tua tentang cara melihat dan mengarahkan bakat dan minat anaknya terutama di daerah yang perkembangannya kurang diperhatikan pemerintah. Berdasarkan penelitian, di sekolah ditemukan kurang lebih 40 persen anak berbakat, tetapi tidak mampu berprestasi setara dengan kapasitas yang sebenarnya dimiliki (Lucy,2010). Akibatnya sekalipun berkemampuan tinggi, banyak anak berbakat tergolong kurang berprestasi. Hal ini mengakibatkan kurang cepat dan kurang efektifnya pertumbuhan anak dan bakatnya yang menonjol menjadi kurang terlihat secara lebih dini. Pentingnya mengetahui letak kecerdasan yang paling menonjol pada anak sejak dini agar kualitas pendidikan dapat meningkat menjadi unsur utama ide penelitian ini. Hal ini dilakukan supaya pendidikan yang diberikan lebih sesuai dengan minat dan bakat siswa. Diharapkan ini juga akan dapat menambah kualitas dari pendidikan di Indonesia agar dapat bersaing ketat dengan generasi bangsa lain di era globalisasi ini. Fuzzy expert system adalah suatu sistem pakar yang menggunakan perhitungan fuzzy dalam mengolah knowledge untuk menghasilkan konsekuensi, premis dengan kondisi dengan akibat sehingga menghasilkan informasi yang memiliki keakuratan kepada end user atau pengguna. Certainty Factor digunakan untuk menyatakan tingkat keyakinan pakar dalam suatu peryataan (Levine, 1998). Penelitian ini menghasilkan software sistem pakar untuk diagnosis potensi akademik anak telah berhasil diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan metode fuzzy expert sistem, sehingga nantinya sistem pakar ini dapat dioperasikan sebagai alat bantu untuk mendiagnosis potensi akademik anak, khususnya pada Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru di SD Negeri Kraton Pekalongan.
Deskripsi Alternatif :In indonesia is very limited knowledge about the old ways of seeing and direct interest and talent children especially in regions less noticed development of the government .Based on research , in schools found more or less 40 percent of children talented , but not capable of being performed equivalent to the capacity of who actually owned ( lucy , 2010 ) .As a result even though high-profile , many children are less talented students .This resulted in less fast and the ineffective the growth of children and their talents prominent become less visible in more early .The importance of knowing the location of the intelligence of the most prominent in the early to the quality of education will be increased to a main element the idea of this research .This is done so that education provided more in accordance with the interest and talent students .It is hoped this will also can increase the quality of education in indonesia to compete fiercely with the generation of other nations in the era of globalization. Fuzzy expert system is a expert system which used calculation fuzzy in tilling knowledge to produce consequences, the premise with the condition with the effects so as to produce the information the accuracy of having to end user or the user.Certainty of used to express the level of confidence experts in a peryataan ( levine, 1998 ).This research produce software expert system for diagnosis academic potential child has successfully implemented by using the method fuzzy expert system so that it will this expert system can be operated as the tools to diagnose the potential academic child particularly at the acceptance of new students in public primary schools Kraton Pekalongan.
