Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi penerimaan teknologi internet, pada civitas akademika STMIK Widya Pratama, dengan menggunakan pendekatan model penerimaan teknologi Technology Acceptance Model atau TAM) yang telah dikembangkan dengan menambah variabel pengaruh sosial (sosial influence) dan kemampuan diri (self-efficacy), yang menjadi penyebab (antecendent) perilaku selain konstruk TAM lainnya yaitu kegunaan persepsian (perceived usefulness) dan kemudahan penggunaan persepsian (perceived ease of use) pada TAM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif surveydan explanatory survey. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dosen, mahasiswa dan staff civitas akademika STMIK Widya Pratama, dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 290 orang yang diambil secara simple random sampling. Analisis data yang dilakukan terdiri dari analisis deskriptif dan analisis kuantitatif. Analisis deskriptif menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase melalui skala Likert. Sedangkan analisis kuantitatif untuk pengujian hipotesis menggunakan teknik Analisis Model Persamaan Struktural atau (Structural Equation Modeling). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden menilai penggunaan internet relatif tidak sulit dan memberikan manfaat bagi pencapaian kinerja pekerjaannya.Responden menilai tinggi kemampuan diri dalam menggunakan internet dan menilai sedang pengaruh sosial terhadap keputusannya untuk menggunakan internet. Responden memiliki sikap penerimaan penggunaan internet yang tinggi, menunjukkan minat yang tinggi untuk menggunakan internet dan menunjukkan tingginya penggunaan internet secara aktual. Sikap penggunaan internet banyak dipengaruhi oleh persepsi manfaat penggunaan internet dan pengaruh sosial. Minat untuk menggunakan internet banyak dipengaruhi oleh pengaruh sosial dan kemampuan diri. Penggunaan internet secara aktual banyak dipengaruhi oleh pengaruh sosial penggunaan internet.Sikap positif terhadap penggunaan internet juga berpengaruh pada penggunaan internet secara aktual melalui variabel minat.
